Apple sauce
The Gravenstein Apples are finally all made into apple sauce. 39 pints and 2 - 1/2 pints. Pears are next. These Hybrid Sunflowers are now blooming in the bean patch.

This is a little less than half of the grape crop. Will make great jelly, pancake syrup, and wine.

Only 6 pints so far but many more to come. Yum, so good. Gravenstines make wonderful anything.
Canning Season starts 2008
Apricots start the canning season. We have already frozen spinach and beet greens, we ate most of the peas (there weren't a whole lot). We will still have squash, green beans, tomatoes, and beets also apples, peaches and pears.
First Place Arrangement
Campfire coffee pot is the Title for this little diddy. Using Rose and White Cone Flowers and a Dried Grass with seed sprig.
Special Pictures
First Place - Best of Department and Best of Show. It doesn't look like much from the pic, but it's been growing on the cactus wood for about 25 years and has the dainty blooms that are on the middle/right of the pic. What a thrill for Mom, who has been growing this Orchid for so many years.
